[ROYAL RUMBLE SPOILERS] What will the women’s matches at WrestleMania weekend look like?

With Charlotte winning, even Rhea patted Tiff on the back in an interview and wished her luck. The battle of the blondes is in order.

But what about everybody else? No Becky, no Jade, but we did get Nikki and we did get Alexa. One of those two challenging Rhea wouldn’t shock me. Bayley is also an option now that she’s on Raw, but I can’t see her jumping from Giulia to Mami within two months. The favourite on here is Iyo, but she’s not been booked prominently enough of late.

The tag match we get could be absolutely stacked. Bianca/Naomi v Judgment Day v Nia/Candice v Bayley/Iyo. There have been enough segments with the last two to suggest an uneasy Damage CTRL reunion IMO, although given the cross-branded nature of the belts, Meta-Four could be an alternative. Lash slamming Nia would easily go viral.

The transfer window ends this weekend, and we’ll have had no NXT call-ups. Much to my dismay, they’ve begun teasing a split between Cora and Rox, which would take them both out of ‘Mania and pit them against each other at S&D. That said, I don’t think a non-title match between Roxanne and Bayley was ever on the cards for ‘Mania.

Also, the midcard belts. With Becky still absent, Lyra is yet another option for Bayley and/or Iyo. Nikki Bella is a natural heat-seeker, but Chelsea desperately needs credible opponents, and Nikki would add some star power to the US Title. She could win the title either in a ladder match or a one-on-one. Could also be Alexa’s spot, if Nikki gets Rhea instead.

Jordynne Grace is another possible option for Rhea and the midcard belts, but I think her elimination at the hands of Giulia was to set that one up for S&D. I know people want Vaquer, but if she can’t even beat Fallon, she shouldn’t be challenging Giulia (and if she beats Fallon, she obviously won’t be challenging Giulia). Either way, I think the North American Champion defends in a ladder match if Chelsea or Lyra don’t (different shows, but historically ‘Mania/S&D booking set pieces tend not to overlap).

Furthermore, the 6 on Alexa’s doll could suggest a revival of the Wyatts-JD plans, but between Bo’s injury, the brand separation, Alexa’s more human presentation and Liv/Raquel being firmly intertwined with the tag titles, Alexa could be used to plug in any gaps in the singles division.
